    Yuning Su (he/ him) is the artistic director of Vermilion theater. He graduated from the Central Academy of Drama in China and is now based in Boston. He has a career in both theater and film directing. His work in the past years includes plays such as Mr. Donkey, Sorrow of Comedy, Das Kapital, and Secret Love In Peach Blossom Land. ins: @s.yuning

  • Wisteria Deng (she/her)

    Wisteria (she/her) is the associate artistic director of Vermilion Theater, and a Clinical Psychology PhD Candidate at Yale University. Specialized in trauma-informed care, she serves as a therapist at the Yale Gender Program and Yale Psycho-oncology/Palliative Care. She carries fond memories of the Singapore rain (The Theatre Practice, 2013-2015), the Ann Arbor snow (Thus Spoke Ann Arbor, 2016-2018), the Boston potholes (Wuming Drama Club, 2019-2021) in founding Yale Vermilion Theater (2021 to Present) and Vermilion Theater INC.     Originally from Shanghai, Kaye is a Mandarin-English bilingual theater actress working in arts administration. Striving to bridge cultural and language barriers through the power of artistic expression, she works in public programs at the Peabody Essex Museum, and dedicates her time as the Acting Advisor at CHUANG Lab@Emerson, mentoring and inspiring up-and-coming actors.   • Ziqi Zhang(she/her)

    Business Development Director

    Ziqi Zhang received her master’s degree in Public Humanities from Brown University and her bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from Fudan University. She worked for financial companies, media, and art museums. She once drew slides for consulting companies, and also wrote for magazines. Now she has become a professional in the nonprofit grants and finance field and hopes to establish her presence in the theater and cultural industry.

    Yolanda is a recent graduate of Harvard Graduate School of Design, whose interest and practice focus on the intervention of art, design, curation, and performance in public domain and urban contexts. She graduated with a Master's degree in Art Administration from Boston University and is dedicated to building a career in the theater industry. Throughout her journey, she has held various roles such as a stage manager, lighting designer, and props manager.     Claire is an electroacoustic music composer/sound designer/marketing specialist, graduated from University of Oregon with a degree in Music Technology, specializing in Interactive Electroacoustic Music Composition and Computer Music Composition. Her works have been selected and invited to participate in ICMC, SEAMUS, NYCEMF and other international computer music conferences. She has worked in various marketing departments in different industries and has been working with different groups and businesses. She is currently a graduate student at Northeastern University.

    Cici is currently working for her Bachelor double degree in Music Business Management and Professional Music(Musical Theater Performance & Stage Management) at Berklee College of Music. Since joining Vermilion Theater last year, her interest in the film and television industry has grown stronger, and her desire to work in the field has deepened with her understanding of the industry.

    Mike is a Boston University undergraduate student majoring in Film & Television. Prior to joining Vermilion Theatre, Mike dedicates in making independent short films and documentaries.     Helen is a subtitles manager in the Vermilion theater who is passion about subtitles design and captioining devices and techniques in the theater. She is a bilingual straight play lover originally from Shanghai. She is also a content creator on the social media, check her profile ins@helenheyheyhey. In her second life, Helen is studying and doing research regarding NLP(natural language process), AI &ML at Harvard University, where she continues to explore infinite combination of Computer Science with Theatricality.
